 The “Cheetah Cubs” program is geared to athletes of all ability levels. Our coaches are committed to teach the very best techniques and skills in a fun and safe environment. Participants must bring running shoes, appropriate clothing and water bottle each day. Program registration is through Bend Parks and Recreation District.

REGISTRATION COST IS $99 IN DISTRICT/$108.80 OUT OF DISTRICT

There are several optional and fun competition opportunities throughout the summer.  

Participants in the Cheetah Cub program must be 6-10 years of age (entering 1st -5th grade) to take part in this program.

The purpose of COTC is to introduce youth kids to the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing events, in a fun track and field atmosphere with a highly skilled coaching staff.  Events covered will include sprinting, middle and long distance running, relays, long & high jump, throws, and hurdles. Stretching and conditioning games will be integrated each day. Safety and sports etiquette will be emphasized. The goal of the program is to provide character development through youth participation in the sport of track and field. As a result of participating each athlete can realize his/her full social, intellectual, and athletic potential and develop a strong sense of loyalty, commitment, and appreciation in the following areas of focus as part of a team: Personal Responsibility, Unity, Team Cohesiveness, and Community Awareness.

Athletes participating in this program may have the opportunity to register for COTC Cheetah Cub summer Track and Field program to compete in USATF Junior Olympic Championships at the state, region and national levels.
